SUGGESTED METHOD 1: Remove skate laces so that only the bottom 4 eyelets are laced. Pull excess laces under the
holder and wrap around back post. As long as the laces are out of the way for moulding.
METHOD 2: Remove skate laces completely from skate and place in box until after moulding. Re-lacing will be required
after moulding for purchase.
HOW TO USE THE SLEEVE
- PREPARE THE SLEEVE
Undo the three Velcro straps on the sleeve and pull the MOZ button system to put it in the unlocked position and pull the white tongue tab to loosen the wire. This can also be rotated counter clock wise to loosen the wire.
1. Top strap around the ankle
2. Under the foot between the holder
3. Under the toes around the blade
- INSTALL THE SLEEVE
Slide the 2-strap Velcro opening over the tongue, tendon guard, and collar to place the sleeve. Pull the sleeve completely down to cover the foxing and then secure the bottom two Velcro.
- BAKE THE SKATE WITH THE SLEEVE INSTALLED
Using the same oven time, bake the skates for the customer. Remove one skate from oven after timer is complete and place the skate on the foot. There should be plenty of room to pull the tongue forward for trying on the skate.
- MOLDING THE SKATE WITH THE SLEEVE INSTALLED
To tighten the sleeve, first start by pressing the MOZ button into the locking position and turn clockwise. Use pull tab to tighten the lower portion of the wire first. After some tightening of the wire, then move to the top Velcro strap to tighten around the ankle. Continue to switch between tightening the button and top Velcro strap to the player preference. Making note that the upper portion of the skate could be slightly looser in comparison to traditional lace tying. This is acceptable, as compression now exists completely around the foot. Mould for about 10 minutes – traditional wait time.
- Remove the sleeve by disconnecting the Velcro straps and pulling the MOZ button system to release the wire. Pull the sleeve off the skate over the tongue.
